BIO

Biography... not much to tell really, but there is this page, so  I guess here it goes...

As a young kid growing up in the 70's and 80's, I was fascinated with all the great music that came out in that era. Like most of my contemporaries, I frequently visited the record stores in search of new releases. Back in the day the store owners were music freaks themselves, so they would always direct you to new stuff that was out and you never even heard of.  So thankful for that, because I believe this is the reason I have developed such a broad taste in music.

In those days I was heavily into Country, Southern Rock and Hardrock, which later developed into AOR and Toto (still my favorite band). Over the years I also learned to appreciate the old classics (Hendrix, Beatles, LedZepp etc...) and I found myself discovering new areas, such as alternative, prog rock, jazz, fusion and such.

I got my first guitar when I was 12. An old "Morris" telecaster, what's in a name, right?  I also started playing piano and synths, since I wanted to attend a professional music school, a second skill would be elementary. As soon as I was old enough I started playing guitar in various bands and learned the tricks of the trade and the rules of the road. I played in cover bands and original bands for over 25 years. That experience has formed and skilled me in more ways than I could have imagined.

Now I am more focused on the recording side of things. I have been lucky to be able to record with some great acts, being it playing keyboards, guitars or (backing) vocals. Also producing other acts, together with my buddie Dirk Brouns @ Maasland Studio, has proven to be succesfull.

John Myles once wrote a song about music, and I think that covers it all. Enjoy!
